Beautiful Mountainous Landscape
Beautiful Mountainous Landscape

You will hunt in a spectacular and beautiful mountainous landscape, guided by dedicated, qualified hunting guides and trackers. We usually hunt by stalking the game, a great experience also for the less experienced hunter. Our hunting guides will try to adapt the hunt to the expectations and the physical condition of the hunter as good as possible. We also have very nice hides at water holes for game watching and hunting. We principally don’t hunt from the car. We consider ethical hunting an absolute priority, and we continuously strive to improve our professional service and excellent equipment. Healthy game populations with high trophy quality will ensure an unforgettable hunting experience.

For non-hunting family members and friends who accompany the hunt, the rides and stalks through the fascinating, spectacular scenery and close encounters with game will also be an unforgettable experience.

Our hunting areas include, amongst others, a concession in the Kalahari, about three hours’ drive southeast of Okatore. Here you can experience a fascinating hunt on Springbok, Blesbok and Black Wildebeest and Common Impala in the red dunes of the Kalahari - an interesting contrast to the mountain-hunt in the Khomas Hochland.

Furthermore we have a hunting area specifically for warthogs north of Windhoek, approximately 1 ½ hours’ drive from Okatore.

If you wish to hunt species that don’t occur in our own hunting area, such as Eland, Waterbuck, Impala, Sable etc., you should inform us well in time, so that we can plan for you accordingly.

Thanks to the good cooperation between neighbors and hunting guides, and the resulting large hunting area, we can also take larger hunting groups if desired.

In Namibia you can hunt with your own rifle without problems. Please enquire at your airline well in time about the formalities to export a weapon. You can download the correct form for arms import from the Namibian authorities here. If you don’t want to bring your own rifle, you can rent a good, reliable weapon from us (see price list).

The hunting season runs from 1st February to 30th of November. In February and November hunting can be somewhat limited due to temperatures of up to 40 degrees at times.

Climate: From February to April, at times hot, often mild and humid.
May to July: cool and dry, cold at night and early in the morning
August to November: warm and dry, rarely rain, from November hot

Flight: There is currently only one airline that flies directly from Europe (Frankfurt) to Windhoek: Eurowings Discover flies daily between Frankfurt and Windhoek. Qatar Airways (3 times per week) and Ethiopian Airlines (5 times per week) fly with stopover in Doha and Addis Ababa respectively.

Individuality is our motto. A warm welcome and a personal, friendly atmosphere will make you and your companions feel at ease and enjoy your hunting experience from the first to the last day. During meals, at the cozy bar or at the BBQ fire, you can exchange your experiences of the day, talk “hunting” or learn about the country and its’ people, and end the day in good, cheerful company. Families with children are also very welcome on Okatore.
